For over 100 years Trinity Lutheran Church has been involved in the
operation of a Lutheran Day School. In 1961, Trinity Lutheran congregation
of Cole Camp, and Holy Cross and St. John's Lutheran congregations
of rural Cole Camp agreed to consolidate the operation of their
respective schools, and the Lutheran School Association was formed.
Since all three congregations provide financial support for the
school, any child who is a member of one of these congregations,
may attend the school without paying tuition. Some fees may apply
for the purchase of certain books, and for expenses involved with
sports activities. The school also accepts students who are not
members of one of the three congregations. A tuition fee is charged
for these students.
The
existing school building consists of six classrooms, offices,
computer lab, library, kitchen and cafeteria, plus a multipurpose
building with full sized gymnasium.
The
LSA seeks to provide formal religious instruction as well as instruction
in almost all subjects normally connected with an elementary school.
In addition to providing a sound secular and religious education,
the school also provides opportunities for students to engage
in extra-curricular activities such as math teams and sports teams
for the upper grades.
