Partners in Education Minutes

Sept 26, 2007

 

The September Partners in Education Meeting was called to order by President Sharon Logan.

Opening devotions was led by Principal Andersen.

 

Program

-       The program last year was Francis O'Donnel. Question was asked, do we want to have a program this year? Was decided to leave it up to the board.

 

Buisness Meeting

-       The minutes from April 25, 2007 meeting were read.

-       Minutes were approved

-       The treasurer reported a balance of $2,895.39 and was approved.

 

Faculty Report

-        Mrs. Sunderman has recieved a stove, oven, and dryer, works well.

-        Dinner went well on installation of  Mrs. Sunderman.

-        Thanks to everyone that helped on the float.

-        7th and 8th grades will be incharge of fall festival games.

-        Thank you to the Metzners for the use of their trailers for the cans.

-        Book Fair is going well.

 

Old Buisness

-        Grand Champion Float Report by Sharon Logan.

-        Paper cutter was purchased for P.I.E.

-        Worm was donated to the preschool, and the butterfly may be hung in gym.

 

New Buisness

-        Board dinner Oct.14th serving from 11:00 to 1:00

-        P.I.E silent auction. Mrs. Logan asked for volunteer to chair, Mrs. Schnackenburg       volunteered.

-        In the past crockpots were borrowed, Mr. Andersen raised motion to purchase some, Tracy Harms second, motion carried.

-         Mrs. Andersen wants each class to make a gift basket for the auction, and the money to go to field trips at the end of the year, for that class.Tracy Harms suggested how to do it and that a committee be organized for that. Jeana Baalmann sugested the money be used by the end of the year.

 

New Buisness

-        Father Daughter Sweet Heart Dance raised $1780.00. Kari Gilroy motioned the we do it agin this year. Tammy Echoff second the motion carried.

-        Gina Agee, chair person of the fundraising committee presented the idea of having the Harlem Wizards as one of the fundraisers. Tammy Echoff motioned, Thaney Brockman second, motion carried.

-        Also chairperson brought pizza from THE DISH in K.C. for everyone to sample. The motion was made to use this as a fundraiser by Tracy Harms, Kari Gilroy second and also asked for fall and spring sale, the motin was second by Thaney Brockman, motion carried.

-         Tammy Echoff requested 1 or 2 persons to take pictures for yearbook, and to video plays and other events. Connie Berendez moved to buy 1 camera for a class. Tracy Harms said she can buy cameras by the bulk at a low price. Kari Gilroy motioned to leave it up to the board, motion carried.

-         Father Daughter Dance money will go to a CD for playground equipment.

 

-         Connie Berendez motioned we ajourn, Judith Pritel second, motion carried.
