In 1842 the first Lutheran Church Missouri Synod day school was established in the Cole Camp area. In 1961, Holy Cross, St. John’s, and Trinity Lutheran congregations, of Cole Camp, agreed to consolidate the operation of their respective schools and the Lutheran School Association was formed with all three congregations helping to provide financial support for the school.
