Why Volunteer?

Parent volunteers play an important role to the success of The Lutheran School Association.  When parents actively participate in their child’s school their child benefits.

Fewer parents are volunteering at their children’s schools, just as new research reveals it yields broader benefits for students than previously believed. These range from higher student grades and test scores to more positive peer relationships in middle school and lower rates of depression in high school. Parent Volunteer Hours

We encourage parents to continue their support by being an active participant in their child’s education. We are very grateful for those parents that continue to participate in school events, parent teacher conferences, attend PIE meetings, volunteer their time at school, and other parent enrichment activities provided by the school to inform and encourage parents to be leaders in schools and in their communities.  At this time, parents are not required to volunteer as a condition of admission, continued enrollment, and/or participation in the school’s educational activities.

Volunteer Opportunities

There are many volunteer opportunities during school hours, after school, or during the weekend. Volunteer opportunities include helping out in the library, office, or classroom,or chaperon at a field trip or dance. Volunteering and attending school events, PIE meetings, and/or joining a committee are all ways to participate at LSA.  Click the link below to sign up at specific events, or on general committees/etc.
